I have long searched for a copy of the Exertainment promo VHS. Reaching out to collectors with one, specifically the ones that posted on NintendoAge that they found one, resulted in minimal to no response of my PMs...Fortunately, I found one last year that was complete (to the best of my knowledge) and sealed! However, I could not bring myself to open it to view the glorious footage it contained...so I waited another full year or so until I was able to track one down, this time an open copy in the box with only the info packet. I of course watched it and found it to be everything I was hoping for! I also decided that NintendoAge collectors also needed to partake in the wonder that is Exertainment. I have wanted to do this for the last two years and can now put this to rest (I hope) since there is little to no information on this tape out there.

I have taken a bunch of pictures of my complete copy here - http://imgur.com/a/FuEZC...

I left out some of the documents because there is an address of the previous owner I did not want to show online.

And the moment you all have not known you've been waiting for.....   -    https://youtu.be/hStEoQIgybk...

I find it fascinating that there was such promotion for Pac-Man and Tetris with footage in the video as well, but we never got a compatible version of each for the bike...I was also surprised that they didn't make mention of the GOMOD, but based on my experience, I can understand why...I also found it great that you could submit your scores/numbers with the challenge in order to win prizes like water bottles, hats, and shirts. You also get to see a seemingly real looking separate cartridge for the Program Manager that ended up just being a part of the Mountain Bike Rally game. The step-by-step instructional video that the host also mentions that comes with every bike is also something I have yet to see in the wild or online. Guess I have more stuff to hunt down either way!

As always, thanks for checking out another of my sweet Exertainment posts and let me know if you have anything related you want to sell me!

Fantastic find. Good work. Thank you for sharing!

Speed Racer is obvious, and Tetris I can sort of guess. But I'm real curious how Pacman was going to work. I wonder if they actually had a plan for it, or just a deal and "we'll figure out the details later"

My guess is that they had some ideas and deals lined up, but since the system did so poorly they probably canceled everything that was in development. Maybe if you pedaled faster, or just at all, Pac-Man would move faster or slower?

I wish...Honestly, I didn't know about them until I was able to watch the video! I'm guessing that the LifeFitness Challenge he mentioned was something not very many people did since almost everything about the Exertainment system was a pain in the butt to manage (which is probably why it didn't sell)...but now I'm looking for them!
