I recently read an article on the internet that read that only 16 sealed mountian bike rally/speed racer games were left in existence. If this is true then that's crazy, I would love to own a copy for my collection but if there's only 16 then it will be tough to aquire. Let me know your thoughts.

I believe JPRex had a few and Rarebucky sold one recently. As for how many there are total, I'm not sure and I've never seen a number thrown around.

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

I thought a bunch of these turned up sealed recently. I could be mistaken with the stand alone games and not the bundle though.

Got hangtab black boxes in nice condition? PM me!

One sold on ebay recently for 2K, and loose have gone for sub 1K in the recent past. This game seems to have dropped substantially in value over the last 2 years.

With that said does this mean that more sealed games have been found? Also what was the condition of the sealed copy that sold on ebay?

There have just been a few on the market lately so the price has dropped a bit. Rare, but low demand, and frankly while 16 copies doesn't sound like much (and it isn't) there are sealed snes games that are definitely less available than this one.

So for the sealed collector its not mega rare, and a hokey game so... only so much one is going to pay for it. Don't get me wrong, great item, but the loose collector will view it as being more rare than the sealed collector will.

Seems like there are way more than 16. I'd guess at least 20+ confirmed with probably much, much more out there.

I think its the same ones trading hands to some extent though.

Most of the copies can be traced back that rubyred whatever her username was, Heather.

Doubtful. I think what Bronty was saying is that a loose collector would covet a loose copy more than a sealed collector would covet a sealed copy. The reason being that there are other sealed SNES titles that are harder to come by than MBR/SR.

Jp Rex had 3 and they were damaged other than the first one that exceeded 4K. On top of that he had to relist one due to a non paying bidder. his " last " copy got reposted by the buyer it seems. And he had to relist it also due to a non payment. Has the same green sticker on the side. So it's really just 3 copy's that surfaced recently but it looks like a lot more. I'd assume it's gonna go back to sleep now, but the Game gets passed around like the neighborhood whore

Also there are far more loose collectors willing to spend that money than sealed collectors spending 2k+. So more demand and more reasonable price.

lol. JP seems pretty smart to me for selling that last copy with the green sticker for $2800 and then winning it back for only $2K

^ That's the Green Sticker copy that SNESFinder already mentioned. He relisted once because a 0 feedbacker and non-paying bidder won it.

Also, according to the VGA Population report...

2 x 85+
5 x 85
1 x 80+

No way half of the population is already graded. Definitely way more than 16 out there.
